The 12 meters high Rooster sculpture proudly overlooking our vineyard has become the emblem of Château La France. In honour of this Rooster, we created the Cuvée Gallus (“gallus” meaning rooster in Latin). This highly qualitative special Cuvée matured 12 months in French oak barrels is mainly intended for our private customers, wine merchants and restaurants. Predominantly made from Merlot and Malbec (25 to 40% of the blend) grown on the best parcels of Chateau La France, CUVEE GALLUS is a unique expression of our estate. Nicely balanced and concentrated with powerful black fruits aromas and elegant notes of tobacco and vanilla, CUVEE GALLUS can rival blind with some of the Bordeaux labels… and offers a great ageing potential for who wants to wait!
